Becoming a LLL Member…

La Leche League is a free service however we need your help in order to keep it going.  LLL is a non-profit organization that relies on membership and sales to give breastfeeding help to mothers around the world.  Membership for one year is $40.

When You Purchase a Membership…

A portion goes towards La Leche League International, while a portion also stays with the Thornton group.  This is the benefit of purchasing a membership directly through a group instead of through International.  Money goes towards:

• Paying group and Leader annual dues to keep the group going
• Maintaining the library and purchasing new books as a resource to other moms
• Printing publications
• Outreach endeavors
• Buying tear-off sheets to give to mothers
• Maintaining the website which provides specific information about the Thornton group
• Starting other fundraising projects
• Pregnant Mother, Newcomer, and Member packets

There are many benefits to becoming a member which include:

• Subscription to New Beginnings, a bi-monthly magazine about breastfeeding
• Access to LLL Thornton’s lending library
• 10% discount on books and other items from LLLI Catalogue and online store
• Permanent name in our attendance sheet so you don’t need to keep writing it
